		<description>I&#039;m not a fan of any of the ads -- either adsense or GoogleAds -- due to the visual clutter.

They are a distraction to what I am trying to accomplish with the blog -- influencing the debate, education, and personal archiving. 

IMHO, the amount of money ads might generate won&#039;t offset the distraction of the ads. If i did this for a living, or alternatively, if it thru off $5-10k a month, that might be worth the trouble. For now, I&#039;m happy with the traffic and the cleaner design

The one surprise I found was that the books I mention generate the astounding sum of about $35/month via Amazon, but that doesn&#039;t even pay for the books mentioned/reviewed.   </description>
