That figure sounds about right for a mid to senior marketing copywriter in Canada/US (slightly lower on the Canadian side of course).

You are right on the conversion, average wage in Australia is now around $50,000 AUD, which means those lucky enough to land a blogging job are doing well, having said this though there is no way in the world I could see the blogging job in Australia attracting this sort of money

David – I think most ‘ProBlogger’s would be somewhere below these figures when they first start out – however the potential is quite large if you work at it over time.

I personally have moved above them at this point – but things go up and down. Who knows what the next year will have in store.

The “average” wage in Canada and the US is around $40kish. So yeah, your statement is correct.

From a decent wage to an excellent wage. I would not say $70k is high in US, as I have seen jobs in the USA looking for 5-10 years experience paying $90+

How does this compare to you and your readers like Arieanna is what I wonder. Are you some where in these figures? Above? Below?

What do you think the limit on blogging is? If it grows beyond a niche, do you think salaries will drop like stones?

(p.s – I’d so love a $40k US a year for professional blogging)
