Google Adsense Local Currency Payments are Here

Just went down to my PO Box – and my first local currency cheque arrived from Google. Very exciting. Normally when I get a cheque from Google it takes another 6 WEEKS to get it cleared. Today when I go to the bank it should be a few days at the most before the money hits my account.

It comes at a good time – we settle on our new house this week!

That’s great to know! Did you have to do anything to request a local currency cheque? I can’t find anything on the Google AdSense site to indicate this. I may be just missing it completely… :p

    nice~i will check my account

about a month ago Shai – they gave many countries the ability to select to have payments in local currency.

Just log into your adsense stats, chose ‘my account’ – go down to ‘payment details’ and click ‘edit’ and change to your currency.

They are also beta-trialling direct electronic funds transfers – I’ve not been able to test it yet (in other words, I’m not earning enough) but that’s the best option for me.

That’s great! Thanks, Darren. ‘found it. :-)

that’d be great Andy – and when they do it to Aussies I’ll sign up for that too!

Yep – the current countries are: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

so quite Euro heavy at the moment.

  8. I’ve just received my first electronic payment (in £ sterling). A whole lot easier and quicker than cashing a cheque…
