ProBlogger WordPress Upgrade Underway

Just a warning to readers that we’re currently upgrading WordPress for this blog to version 1.5 so there may be a few bugs for the next few hours. I’ll let you know when its complete so you can start letting me know if there are any issues.

I appreciate your patience as we improve ProBlogger.

Also I just sent out a ProBlogger Newsletter (week 2). If you didn’t get it you might need to re-subscribe. Let me know if you want me to email the last one to you if you missed it.

Update: The upgrade (from WP 1.2) is complete. It wasn’t a redesign – simply an upgrade of versions. Please let me know if you see any bugs – thanks.

Good to hear it was just an update, I got some nasty error message when I tried to leave a comment on an entry earlier. Hope you like the new wares.

  3. The site’s back to lookin’ good ;-) Hope you enjoy the 1.5

  4. Darren says:

thanks – hopefully its running smoothly. We’ve found a few little niggles but are putting them right.

All seems to be working, but what’s with the funny adsense ads on this post??? Top left hand ad reads “S.G.A. gestion d’archives
Conservation d’archives ISO 9001 Archivage Gestion Numérisation”. You seem to be missing the trackback button to.

  6. Rachel says:

Weird – I don’t see those ads here in New Zealand :)

  7. Andy says:

Looks good to me. I’m on WP1.5 on my latest blog (shameless plug, not much content yet…) but haven’t bitten the bullet on my personal blog, still on 1.2 – but it’s serving me well and if it ain’t broke… Still, 1.5 is a great improvement particularly on handling the curse of spam, and on templating.

    Darren,

Your contact form is broken here…
    http://www.problogger.net/contact.php
Don’t know if it was due to the upgrade or not.

Also, if you don’t mind, I’d like your most recent newsletter… I’ve re-signed up for it just now. ;)

    Darren,

When are you going to submit your design as a Word Press Template?

I swear I thought you used MT software. Matter of fact, just last night, during your unsuspecting upgrade, I was checking out MT and considering it for my next blog. I have serendipity on my blogcetra.com blog and I used WP on my randomopinion.com and coffeesage.com blogs. I thought I may have been missing out on something big so there I went to check out MT…….. What do I find when I get back to pro blogger? An upgrade to WP 1.5! Tell me I wasn’t in my alternate personality mode.

Anyhoo…… I wanted to say thank you and offer coffee and hugs for the mention in the newsletter! You are so adorable it hurts. Very much appreciated and will not go unrewarded in some sort of fashion. *wink* Don’t know what yet, but I will think of something.

So tell me now… do you prefer WP over MT? Do you feel it performs as well if not maybe somewhat better considering the weight in simplicity of one over the other? I still have the livingdot page open and considering MT. I will not push that button until you respond. I respect your opinion greatly.

    Audrey

Darren, Did your trackback URLs get lost in the update? I don’t see them now. I think that you used to display them. I guess I’ll just have to do a plain old link to you, then, from my WP 1.5 blog. I’m moving to WP from Blogger, and enjoying WP so far.

Nice resource, very interesting reading. retirements gifts
