Just read your post and decided to give it a try. As a sports blogger, I’ve been posting about New England teams now for a little over a year (mostly Red Sox and Patriots) and have seen little in the way of traffic from Yahoo which surprised and confounded me.

I’m anxious to see what affect your suggestion has. Thanks!

I’ve had over 55,000 visits to my blog and maybe four or five as a result of Yahoo traffic in a year and a half.

I’ve joined MyBlogLog (owned by Yahoo) and will add my own blog to MyYahoo.

I’ll try it right now, thanks. I don’t think I’ve ever even gotten one hit from Yahoo. Almost all Google, Stumble Upon and direct traffic, here.

I get almost no traffic from yahoo either for some reason. I will try this though, thanks. I’m always puzzled about yahoo giving me such low results compared to google. I have been told that yahoo is second best to google for search engine popularity? It’s very strange.

Getting traffic from Yahoo can sometimes be like trying to squeeze blood from a stone!

This technique, does work, but to a lesser extent than most people think. My experience as shown a moderate increase in traffic coming from Yahoo. To quantify, the increase was about 10%…Nothing to write home about, but an increase nonetheless!

I have a different question here rather ranking in yahoo, Why don’t yahoo make it’s PR facility free? I mean why someone need to pay them to get ranked? Or they don’t care to compete with Google?

Hi, I have done that long time ago, but still no results, I have according to the stats 20 Hits from search.yahoo.com and more than 4.000 hits from google.com, in a certain period of time, I have reading about this, but could not find an answer, even if I reproduce the searches that Hit me from google on Yahoo, my blog http://linux.go2linux.org appears donw on the list while it could appear first on google.
Just my experience on this.

Wow! That’s interesting. I have a site hosted with them. I wonder if that matters, too. I mean if you list your site/blog on your my.yahoo page, and it gets listed then it might work for if you have a site listed with them.
