Yahoo! Publisher Network
Anyone know what the Yahoo! Publisher Network is? Could it be the rumored competition for Adsense that seems to be being talked about more and more these past couple of weeks? What does Yahoo themselves have to say about Yahoo Publisher Network? Not a lot – but here is what they reveal:
‘To support the publishing community, Yahoo! will be introducing new products and services-including publishing tools, advertising products and access to our Yahoo! audience. Our products will leverage the Yahoo! network to provide the most value for small publishers. If you are interested in being notified when they launch, please provide your information below.’

I signed up to be notified of when the program launches. Between Adsense, Yahoo and Kanoodle things seem to be heating up in the contextural ad space. A good idea for an eventual article evaluating the pros and cons of all three since you will be limited to just one service on any one blog.

It is good, but I doubt it will be better than Adsense.

The entry of Yahoo into to the contextual ad arena is only to be welcomed. The other companies in the field are useless and provide zero competition to Adsense. Yahoo is probably the only company right now capable of competing with Google and proving some much needed competition to Adsense.
It is a pity they are not going international with the beta rollout.

giants Google and Yahoo.Quigo is an increasingly popular alternative for contextual advertisers, because the company offers more control over offerings than rivals Google and Yahoo, the New York Times reports. Quigo gives advertisers the ability to purchase ads on specific sites as well as select pages on those sites
