This was a really good read. Its actually really inspiring!

I am starting a few blogs that im really interested in and really new to blogging. I have loads of content on paper and its fun getting it out there. I dont have adsense yet but i will definately print this guide out and give it a really good read.

Hi Darren,
Thank you very much for your blog regarding Adsense. This seems to be useful to a certain extent. I have few doubts which is hounding me for a long time.

As you discussed in one of the post – I have nothing to loss so just shooting a mail to you :)
I currently have 100 visitors per day and less than 1% click to my advertisments on my site . anyways I don’t blame my readers becuse I never click on any google ads. And that do a technical blog like this do you expect a techie to click on google advertisment ? If they are not clicking on advt. then how the income is generated from google adsense ?

May be a silly question – but I am confused.

Hey Darren, thanks for this great article. I had read all of it a while back and just re-read it all to freshen up. I’m consulting for a website and am trying to make their adsense sales skyrocket through the roof with some of your tips.

Can you believe their website generates over 70,000 unique visitors every month and they barely break the 100$ barrier/month. It’s crazy!

Any idea on what kind of adsense revenue this website should make? I know the question is vague but it’s worth a shot. By the looks of the site (PR5 + thousands of pages) they should be making $1000/month, at the very least.

A great set of articles. I’ve started on my blogs but I started with Adsense right away. I’m still trying to get the hang of it, but the ads seem quite targetted on one of my sites even though it has little content… but it has been up for years with few changes (before I added the ads) and has meta-keywords so searching for the name of the site brings me in at the number 1 google result! Just by having the bots search the index page for 3 or 4 years.
There is a tip for you: Write a lot of good, targetted content… then wait 2 or 3 years for the search bots to find you :)
