  2. Hello Darren,
Happy New Year 2010, I have missed this forum so many months struggling to improve my blogging experience.
After taken your 30DC, I managed to improve my 6 months old blog a little – broke the $100 mark every month.

For the last 1 month, I have been struggling to get my new blog up on google page 1. I could have missed some of the important tips.

I hope to get some input from you.
    Thanks
    Dr. L M Foong

  3. Thank you for these great resources!, I went ahead and added them to my rss reader.
I have setup many blogs for friends using WP and a free template, but I have often asked myself the question what are the advantages of going with a professional custom (paid) template? I came across several blog designer’s websites/ blogs that offer great designs for a reasonable price, but except the obvious (exclusive template designs) I couldn’t find any other reasons to purchase a template as opposed to using a free template.
    Thanks again!.

  4. Thanks Darren, This is a great list. There is something for almost everyone.

  11. Hello Darren,

I have a little question about a tip that is often given regarding domain names: avoid dashes.

I fully understand that the domain name is not the only / most important thing, and the DPS example / domain name shows that’s feasible to create a very successful website with a long and double dashed domain name, so …

What is your personal thought on your http://www.photo-talks.com as a domain name for a fresh photography related blog i’m about to start ? (not photoblog though).

I’m not native english speaking, so I guess photo-talk is more correct ? unfortunately as phototalk.com and phototalks.com were already taken, I picked photo-talks…

Thanks for all the good blog starting tips !

  14. Turning a blog post into something extremely interesting to get comments really isn’t hard at all, and it works well too. Nice list here!

  15. I am new to parenting. My sister went to a better place a 6 months ago and since my nephew doesn’t know his dad, he wanted to stay with me. It wasn’t hard to say, yes. He is family and I love the little guy. I’m in search of every piece of information I can find on the internet about parenting because I want to be the best uncle a kid can have so, thank you for the blog post and now I must move on to the next one.
