Adsense Gift Arrives

Posted By Darren Rowse 19th of December 2005 Adsense 0 Comments

Img 2550My AdSense Christmas Present just arrived. It came in a spotted box that said ‘from your friends at Google’. Inside the box was (as reported previously):

  • carrying case with embossed google logo. zipper closure
  • wireless mini mouse, with scroll wheel
  • usb charger for mouse with retractable cord
  • usb 4 port hub
  • usb gooseneck led light
  • 128mb usb flash drive with wrist strap
  • headset with retractable cord. has two plugs (one for mic and one for earbud) so it is for a computer, not a mobile phone.

I’ve included pictures of it all below the fold for those interested.

Thanks for another great year to the team at AdSense.

  1. it must be nice to be one of the inner circle!
    I’ll keep trying!

  2. I’m still waiting by the PO Box…….I figure a 4-fig blogger must at least get a balloon!

  3. Wow thats nice. I hope i get one of does in the future.

  4. Lucky….

I am seeing mroe yahoo ads on your site. Any reason?

  5. Darren, forget the last post as I reviewed some posts that I missed.
Can’t wait to hear your results.

  6. Well deserved i’m sure, those are some really nice stuff… =)

  7. I got mine down at the Brisbane GPO this morning as well. Yay.

What was interesting was that at the parcel collection point the person on duty said there was about 20 of these boxes awaiting collection and asked me what the go was. He pointed to them on the shelf thingys and I said 20 mini media moguls getting the love they deserve.

How’s that though??? 20 people who get their mail at the Brisbane GPO are earning enough to qualify for gifts. That’s a pretty big number if you ask me but shows the reach and potential of internet advertising.

  8. Nice little perk you got.

  9. What’s the “sent at” date on your box?

  10. Anthony – Brisbane! Wow hey, that is surprising. What was the qualification cut off?

We should get these Brisbane people together and chat. I tried to find some contact details for you but your blog seems to be a work in progress so I’ll trust you to contact me ;-)

  11. I got mine this morning in London, UK.

  12. Can’t read the beginning paragraph of your posts because Yahoo ads are covering them.

Nice gift BTW, I wonder what the cutoff is to receive one.

  13. Google Adsense Weihnachtsgeschenk

From your friends at Google.

  14. I received a used condom in the mail from google.. I guess I must have been part of the $1 a month club :)

    Anthony:

Companies who pay for ads get the gifts too, so it’s not necessarily true that all those receiving the gifts are adsense publishers. Might include advertisers as well.

Well, this year’s gift is more *useful* than last years for sure!

  17. Gr8 to c the gifts. Is it meant for all the adsense users.

  18. No Mary – seems to be just for those earning a certian undisclosed amount as well as those spending a certain amount on their adwords program.

  19. Just received my Google box! Either we didn’t spend enough or the advertiser package is different, because my mouse is wired, flash drive is only 64mb, and I didn’t get the nifty headset.

Oh well–I’m still excited. Thanks Google!

  20. There seems to be two different versions of the Google gift. Look on the outside of your box. If there’s a “red dot” sticker on the corner of the box, that means you got the “deluxe” version which includes the wireless mouse, the 128MB memory stick and the earpiece. The other version has a wired mouse and a 64MB memory stick. I’ve also posted some pictures on my blog.

This year, I also got a gift from Yahoo! :)
