47 Lists of Bloggers to Watch in 2010 – Check them Out!

Posted By Darren Rowse 27th of January 2010 Miscellaneous Blog Tips 0 Comments

Earlier this month we published a list of 30 bloggers to watch in 2010 that caused a lot of conversation and debate in the comments section of that post. Of course the list of bloggers were simply one persons opinion and fairly much focused around that persons interests – so a week later I invited readers to create their own ‘bloggers to watch’ lists and submit links to them in the comments of that post.

47 bloggers have created such lists so far. The great thing about the submissions is that while there are some themes there is also a lot of diversity in the lists submitted. There is everything from food bloggers to watch, to Mom bloggers to watch, to greeen bloggers to watch, to personal finance blogges to watch to diabetic bloggers to watch. While not every niche is represented it is a great celebration of the blogosphere.

As it’s been a couple of weeks since I called for posts I thought it might be time to combine all the lists of bloggers to watch into a list of posts.

I encourage you to surf through the list – find the posts you resonate with – link up to them, tweet them and add to them with your own comments and posts.

You are welcome to keep submitting your posts of bloggers to watch in your niche but I probably won’t compile the list again unless there are a lot submitted.

  1. Hello Darren, I remember this first post and all the debate it caused, so you solved it with a great idea! I can see a few of this lists already that I am going to take a look at, you never know I might be on one! Probably a bit optimistic as my blogs only a month old ; )

  2. I respectfully submit http://www.almightydad.com/blogs/top-dad-blogs for a list of 125 top daddy bloggers. I didn’t see any daddy blog lists here, so I hope this is a helpful addition!

  3. Here is one I recently did.

Ten blogs every Mac admin should know about

  5. How about a category of dad bloggers? I would like some consideration as one of the blogs to follow in 2010…

    J.R.

  6. This is a great list, I always love learning about new things and being shown all of these different blogs such as “11 Famous Food Photo Bloggers to Watch This Year” Who doesn’t love food lol.
Will be going though the rest of this list today. Thanks for the great references

  7. Thanks Dareen for asking such list and publishing it . I am sure that many would be benefit from this list.

  8. Nice, Darren! I love these lists because they’re one of the best ways to meet and learn about new blogs and bloggers.

  9. I thought that my 15 Minimalist/Simplicity Bloggers list was just a fun exercise and a way to help publicize the niche that I’m in but it’s also done more to increase my subscriber count than any other thing I’ve done on my blog. I’m new to blogging, but before I created the list, I only had 25 subscribers. I’ve increased 10-fold since publishing my list two weeks ago.

  10. That’s a nice round-up for me to work through. It’s nice to come across lists that are diverse and do not contain just blogs about blogging (for me at least).

    Regards,

    Karl

  11. I really enjoy reading these lists, and it is especially cool because I have an interest in quite a few different niches. I have seen friends on several of these lists, and it’s always great to see your own name/blog mentioned!

  12. Awesome ;list.. that’s a whole weekend of reading right there..lol

  13. Just watch me that all any REAL bloggers needs to do :)

  14. Thanks for linking to my list of 50 personal finance bloggers to watch in 2010. It was a lot of fun putting it together, and hopefully it’ll give some exposure to some great blogs!

  15. I found this article through my daughter’s Commentz site – Sarah Evans. How timely for me since she helped me to create my very own blog site! She has been very helpful and an inspiration to me. I’ve been reading other people who blog about books for research. Who knows, maybe one day, I’ll make your list!

  16. That’s great feedback that these lists have been popular posts. I’ll have to put together my own list of eco-friendly mom bloggers. There are a few lists of mom bloggers on here, but I haven’t seen a lot of my favorites.

  17. Well I couldn’t get the heading right, but wonderful list, I couldn’t see all of them, but I read all the top one and some interesting ones.

    Derrick

  24. I wish that I could have made it to one of these lists, maybe next time. This is a great post with a ton of resources for just about everyone.

  25. Thanks for including my lists in your list. I have found great success on both NarrowBridge.net and IsraelSituation.com with these list posts. I did the leg work to let people know they were included and had good link backs and traffic.

I think this is going to be an annual post for me from now on.

  26. Thank you for including my post in your list! (I’m #22 if anyone’s interested)

The list I wrote ended up being pretty popular, but not the most popular post I’ve ever written. I was also overjoyed to discover that my blog had actually been listed in another “bloggers to watch in 2010” list! Awesome!
Thanks for sharing the idea, Darren! ^_^

  27. Darren,

Great idea to post this list and I truly feel grateful to have been listed here and include my input.

There are a lot of great blogs and this is a great way to reveal them to a wider audience.

    Great list and post.

  28. great resource, thanks.

  29. Wow
So many people are making these “bloggers to follow list”. I also follow some great bloggers like you, Daniel, Ann Smarty, John Chow, Maki and Yaro.

  30. It is going to be a very interesting year for blogging. I have some big plans for my own too (release of an e-book soon, more quality articles and newsletters).

  31. Oh, cool – I am actually mentioned in some of these lists! And I still consider myself a baby blog… :)

  32. Darren,

Wow! Thanks for all of the wonderful information contained in this post and the links within it.

I went to many of the sites with the intention of signing up to follow recommended blogs. To my surprise, a number of them, maybe as many as 20%, popped up with a screen full of code when I tried to sign up for the RSS feed. Most worked just fine.

Do you have any thoughts on how to let people know their RSS subscriptions are not working? It’s sad that they have been recommended and are losing subscribers because of this.

Also wanted to say that I love your blog! Your posts are wonderful as is your leadership in the blogging world :)

  33. wow so how many blog is that? I dont have time to look over all these this year…man I quiet busy with the 31Dbbb. Just kidding guys will work hard to look out for all these bloggers I think this community is the future of business we are going to crush any market out there.

  34. Nice list. I kind of wish I had taken the time do this myself. It probably would have brought me some new readers.

  35. Wow you have provided me the food for this weekend … and I am sure with this list I will enjoy my time.

    Thanks Darren

  36. Thanks for linking to my blog. I’ll have to look through all of the other blogs! Your blog inspires me! Keep it up!

  37. I’m so happy to be on there! Thanks again!
